Mindfulness in Everyday Life
Learn what it means to be mindful of body, mind, emotions, and life. Dr. Norma Harris will lead participants in activities that will help to you to recognize your natural ability to be mindful and aware. The 90 minutes will include guided exercises, group discussion, and practice. Experiential homework will be assigned and discussed.
This is a four week program that meets every Sunday from 9:00am – 10:30am starting January 7th.
Individual class drop-ins are allowed.

A Mindfulness Program for Teens

Druid Hills High School
For adolescents experiencing stress related to grades, sports, family, friends, dating, appearance, health issues, and other, other, other. Researchers, educators, coaches, and medical professionals are recognizing the benefits to be gained from training in mindfulness, including:
- Increased focus
- Calmness and well-being
- Improved relating to others
- Improved decision making
This is an six session course for high school students who are willing to practice mindfulness, formally and informally, throughout the week. The course is called Learning to Breathe: A Mindfulness Curriculum for Adolescents to Cultivate Regulation, Attention, and Performance. It is based on Jon Kabat-Zinn’s Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) curriculum.
